A lot goes into the creation of your own website. Creating other people’s is a walk in the park in comparison. It takes ideas, words, serious thought, pretty pictures, considerations, unserious thought, technical hoohar, diplomacy, panda wrangling skills and, most importantly – getting the bloody thing live without any major loss of sanity, life or worse – hair.

It’s a chance to create a thing of beauty and magic that showcases who you are and what you can do. To go “Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, look what we can dooooooooooo”.
But in a totally humble, non show-offy way, of course.

In fact so non show-offy – this little puppy has been live since last week and we’ve not so much as blown a single trumpet about it. We might have made the odd farting armpit noise, done some very uncool high fiving and fist pumping and ok sure, busted – Micah was last seen jumping up and down on a couch a la Cruisegate on Oprah. But other than that, we swear – we have not been showing off at all.

To cater for those who laugh in the face of personal computers and love nothing more than perusing stuff on the go – we’ve made our new site just AS pleasant to use on mobile devices. This way, wherever you are, you can see OUR SITE, in all its glory. Unless there’s the odd blackspot. In which case, let us know and we’ll buy you a pony*.

*We won’t buy you an actual pony. Not only are we a cutting-edge digital agency, we’re also kind to animals.

More good news for MercerBell

Having just finished all the celebrations of winning the B&T Direct Agency of the Year two years running, we have received more good news. MercerBell has been selected as a finalist for AdNews Direct Agency of the Year. The other contestants are Clemenger Proximity Melbourne, Mark and Wunderman. Whoever wins, we’re already proud to make it to the top 4. The winner will be announced on February 24. Fingers crossed.

Hi and welcome to The Coop.

Marketing is changing fast. As a result, what’s way more important than book-learnin’ is being able to form an opinion, and then being brave enough to see if it flies.

At MercerBell, we feel that opinions are a bit like chickens. They should be able to roam free, be fed liberally, and never have their wings clipped.

The Coop is our place for making a statement about anything that strikes us as interesting. Sometimes it’ll be about the marketing communications business; often it won’t. We’ll all do a bit of contributing, and hopefully you will too.

So again welcome to The Coop: the place where our opinions come home to roost.
