This is an example of the potential augmented reality has to revolutionise the way we carry out everyday tasks. Here we see it being used as a manual instructing the user how to change a printer toner – but this isn’t far from being able to show us how to put a shelf up or even change brake disks on your car. Amazing – well done Metaio!

Making Life Easier with Augmented Reality
Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011Calling all ladies!
Monday, December 6th, 2010While I only half understand this augmented reality business, the ‘soon to be released’ virtual dressing room is seriously exciting me!
This so called ‘augmented reality shopping’ will absolutely revolutionise the way we all shop online.
Gone are the horrible mall crowds, long lines to dressing rooms, questionable swimming costume cleanliness. This allows me to try on the latest styles, get an idea of whether that sweater really does bring out the blue in my eyes, share photos with my friends on Facebook to find out if my bum looks big, and purchase way too many expensive things that I don’t really need….all without ever having left the house!!
Do yourself a favour and check it out.
